On the morning of October 22, the 2022 World Summit of Young Scientists Frontiers in Mathematics and its Applications Forum opened in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. The forum was organized by Wenzhou University and Wenzhou Science and Technology Association, and specifically executed by the School of Mathematics and Science of Wenzhou University, with three sub-forums on basic mathematics, applied mathematics, graph theory and combinatorial mathematics, etc. The event lasted for five days in total.

She pointed out that in recent times, Wenzhou has produced a number of mathematicians such as Jiang Lifu, Su Buqing, Gu Chaohao and Jiang Boju, and is known as "the cradle of Chinese mathematicians" and "the hometown of mathematicians". This year, many famous mathematicians were invited to gather in Wenzhou, and a special forum on the frontiers of mathematics and its applications was set up. She hoped that the participants would take this meeting as an opportunity to focus on the theme, collide ideas, discuss the frontier, enhance communication, form more weighty consensus and academic results, and make the voice of Wenzhou mathematics on the international cultural platform.

He said that Wenzhou is the home of mathematicians and has always had a good tradition of mathematics. The Frontiers of Mathematics and its Applications Forum, as one of the main events of the YCS, was also held in Wenzhou as a further inheritance and development of Wenzhou's fine mathematical tradition. The mathematicians will share their research results in their own professional fields, play the role of talent gathering, and work together for development and future, which will inject vitality into the high-quality development of mathematics disciplines in China.

He said that the Forum on Frontiers of Mathematics and its Applications was held in Wenzhou at the important period of the 20th Party Congress, which was timely and significant. With the joint efforts of experts, scholars and young talents at home and abroad, we believe that this forum will positively promote the development of mathematics discipline in Wenzhou University, promote the innovation of mathematics professional training mode, and play a positive role in promoting the in-depth cooperation and interactive integration among universities.

It is reported that this academic forum will be closely focused on the theme of the summit "Gathering Talents for a Better Future", focusing on basic mathematics, applied mathematics, operations research and cybernetics and other disciplinary directions and frontier areas. The summit invited many domestic and foreign experts and scholars, including Richard Stanley, Sohail Nadeem, Jiang Song and Chen Zu Xing, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other young talents to attend the summit and presented 50 academic reports. Mathematics and its application areas have always been the focus of attention, the focus of research and the difficulty to overcome in the world.
